Simon was born in Looe and possesses extensive knowledge of the local area. His passion for walking has enabled him to complete numerous ultra challenges and make multiple pilgrimages along the Camino de Santiago, which spans France, Spain, and Portugal. Following his total knee replacement in 2016, Simon has truly experienced the remarkable benefits that walking can offer. Many may recognise him from his successful beachside business in Looe, which he has operated for the past 21 years. However, he has chosen to embark on a new venture and is eager to welcome you, sharing the breathtaking landscapes that this region has to offer.
Planned Tours
Looe to Polperro
Approximately 5 -6 hours round trip, 10km.
Simon will lead a group from Looe to Polperro, via woodlands and the south west coastal path. Or the reverse depending on the tides.
Stopping for refreshments along the way, the return trip will be a leisurely boat trip back to Looe. ( or start with the boat trip and walk back to Looe)
There will be approximately 3 hours of walking, and time for breaks and a stroll around the picturesque village of Polperro.
The terrain is mixed and uneven and involves periods of uphill walking - Suitable for intermediate ability.
Planned Tours
Looe to Seaton.
Approximately 5 hours round trip, 10km
Together taking the bus from Looe, Simon will guide you through the wood and alongside the river to the coast
Refreshments at Seaton then the coast path back to Looe. Again, being Cornwall, the coast path is uneven and has uphill and downhill walks - intermediate level.
